Trail "LA CATA"

Rocky beach, calm water, surrounded only natural environments. 

Suitable for swimming, located in the rural periphery of Lirquén (Where formely the railway line to Tomé was located). 

It´s located posterior to the Beach Lirquén. 

A walk in place for walkers in also located. 

In fact the Penco-Town reshuffled the 
path´s above the footprint of the former railway line. 

There´s no access for vehicles. 

The bathing area´s made up of rocky coastal wells surrounded, it´s recommended to tourist be careful where to walk (tread). 

Visited for "lirqueninos" (The Lirquén´s people), "pencones" visitors (The Penco´s people) and strangers. 

Trail "LA CATA"

Tasting stage has been repeatedly linked various walks and hiking activities, organized by environmental groups since 2015 they have protested against a frustrated pipeline project to be installed in the field (Octopus GNL Terminal).

It is located three blocks from the "Los Conquistadores Square" (In the Penco downtown) and walking towards the coast "Maipú street" (In the "Don Chito´s Supermarket" Zone).   

It is gray sand, with waves too soft and suitable for swimming. 

Located surrounded by a totally urban environment, with trade and basic services to pass, brightly lit a night and dumpsters available.

SUDDENLY VACATIONERS PRACTICE VARIOUS SPORTS ON THE BEACH, SUCH AS "BEACH TENNIS" AND "BEACH SOCCER".

An ideal place to go for a walk with pets (dogs).

The sea (by order of the Chilean Navy) has "buoys" protection, areas where the vacationer can bathe safely.

The only drawback perhaps is the accumulation of algae to the seashore.
